Sunday, February 28, 2010

His economic and social commitment in China has brought Heiner Wemhöner an exemplary honour. On the occasion
of the 60th anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China, Changzhou, a city with 3.5 million inhabitants, awarded him the dignity of becoming a honorary citizen of the city.

Since the summer of 2007 machinery and equipment for value added panel processing have been manufactured
in the architecturally attractive building in Changzhou. The city is located 160 km northwest of Shanghai, in the province Jiangsu.
The history of Changzhou goes back 2500 years. A lot of western companies are established in this rising industrial area.

Not only business aspects are important for Heiner Wemhöner - also the mentality and culture of the country were the driving force behind his numerous trips to China.

In the end it is not surprising that the city council of Changzhou appreciates his social commitment. Among others Heiner Wemhöner has supported young unprivileged persons. In order to enable them a future-oriented education, he presented a cheque of 20.000 € on the occasion of the opening ceremony.

In 2010 the next stage of extension of the factory will be carried out. The production area will grow by 2.500 m² to approx. 6.000 m².
